EARTHQUAKE CAUSES FEAR IN BOYS ORPHANAGE...

YOU CAN HELP

Victim Relief Ministries has been requested to respond in a boy's orphanage in Haiti to address the issues of fear that the boys are experiencing on a daily basis. The need for Crisis and Trauma Counseling and care is needed as much as any care we can bring to the people there.  The children of Haiti and the boys in the Christian orphanage have been traumatized from this event.

The fault line for the earthquake ran very near to the compound where the boys’ orphanage, a church and a 3 story school building are located.  There is some structural damage to the boys’ dormitory so the children, all boys, 33 of them, ages 5 years to 18 years are sleeping inside the church until a structural engineer can be brought in to determine what needs to be done to the buildings to make them safe again.  School is suspended right now as well. Many of the boys are afraid to move back into the dorm.

A team of 5 Crisis and Trauma Caregivers will be departing for Haiti as soon as possible. More updates will be posted throughout the response.

In the meantime, your help is needed in helping these boys be able to return to a life without fear once again. You can help now by donating to Victim Relief Ministries.
